Streets Beach is a man-made urban beach on the south bank of the Brisbane River. This artificial beach is as big as five Olympic-sized swimming pools and it has its own lagoon filled with chlorinated water. The authorities add 80 tons of white sand to the beach every year– enough to make a million sand castles! It’s a great place to go for a swim too and have a great view of Brisbane’s skyscrapers at the same time. Locals prefer swimming here to swimming in the Brisbane River– because it’s safe for you and your kids too! There are lifeguards on patrol– so you can relax. Strip off and tan or just have a great time with your friends, Streets Beach is the place to be. Doubt if you want to leave!
