South Bank Parklands

Located in the suburb of South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, South Bank Parklands spans 17 hectares (170,000 square meters). It is a great spot to go jogging, to stroll through tropical rainforests, have a picnic or even a barbeque, or swim in the lagoon.  Celebrity chef Ben O’Donoghue has opened the South Bank Surf Club here and serves mouthwatering seafood. The Live Fire Steak Bar is nearby, serving steak and craft beer. Culture– anyone? There is also the South Bank Cultural Precinct, the State Library of Queensland, the Queensland Museum and Science Centre, the Queensland Performance Arts Centre, the Queensland Art Gallery, and the Gallery of Modern Art.  South Bank is open every day of the year.
