The iconic image of Sydney is the incredible, the world’s largest steel through arch bridge, an architectural marvel that will leave you in awe of its splendour. Built in 1932, it covers the Sydney Harbour from the Central Business District (CBD) to the North Shore and is affectionately called ‘Coathanger’ owing to its beautiful arch-based design. The bridge offers a variety of ways to access and experience its grandeur. You can either walk, cycle or climb (more on that below) to experience the splendid views from all angles. Another way to visit the bridge is the ferry ride where you can glide right under the marvellous structure and observe the stunning views from underneath.
