Mrs Macquarie’s Chair

Sandstone rock fashioned into a humongous chair, Mrs Macquarie’s chair is one of the most exquisite cultural cum natural marvels of Sydney. Hand-carved for the wife of a local governor, Elizabeth Macquarie, it is a reminder of a nuptial affection, and is situated in one of the most romantic parts of Sydney, close to the Botanical Gardens. Keep in mind that the site is open from 7am to 6.30pm.
